Dr Lewis removing a horse’s 3rd eyelid due to a mass present. This horses 3rd eyelid has a mass present so it was removed and submitted to the laboratory to find out what type of mass it is. Majority of 3rd eyelid masses are cancerous and can become extremely large if not removed and block the horses vision. Results often take 7-10 days to get back. Cryotherapy was used on the remaining tissues to destroy any remaining harmful cells so hopefully the mass does not return.
